🍗🍚 How to Use – Dindigul Thalappakatti Biryani Preparation Guide

🔬 Standard Usage Ratio (For 1 KG Chicken)

Ingredient Quantity
Dindigul Thalappakatti Biryani Masala 4 to 5 tablespoons
Chicken (with bone) 1 kg
Seeraga samba rice 1 kg
Thick curd ¾ cup
Ginger-garlic paste 3 tablespoons
Small onions (shallots) 300 g
Tomatoes 2 medium
Green chillies 3 to 4 (slit)
Ghee 3 tablespoons
Oil 3 tablespoons
Mint leaves 1 handful
Coriander leaves 1 handful
Salt as required
Water / stock as required

👨‍🍳 Preparation Method

  1. Clean and wash the chicken thoroughly.

  2. Heat oil and ghee in a heavy-bottom vessel.

  3. Add sliced small onions and sauté until golden brown.

  4. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté until the raw smell disappears.

  5. Add tomatoes and cook until soft.

  6. Add chicken, curd, salt, green chillies, mint, coriander, and Dindigul Thalappakatti Biryani Masala. Mix well.

  7. Cook until the chicken is partially done and oil starts separating.

  8. Add soaked seeraga samba rice and required water or stock.

  9. Cook on medium flame until the rice is done and biryani is aromatic.

  10. Dum on low flame for 10–15 minutes for authentic flavour.

🔥 Serve hot with onion raita and boiled egg.
